Artist’s Resume

Biography

Alex Garber was born in 1978 in Moscow, Russia. He received a formal education in
liberal arts in former USSR and United States. Living in New York, USA, Alex have
focused his artworks mainly on urban themes, and pay special attention to the role of the
environment on individual’s mind, especially in a large cities. Alex has accomplished
himself in several fields and took interest in many areas, ranging from psychology and
sociology to graphic design and optics. Bringing all this into photography Alex have
developed a unique technique and style based on working with both one’s reception of
the visual, and the imagery’s propertied directly.
Artist’s goal is revealing the invisible, and creating the opportunity to question the one’s
perception of reality, broadening viewer’s horizons and ultimately understanding of
oneself and the world.

Exhibitions

Alex AG works were seen on several events and were
featured in the number of New York galleries.

Additionally the artist has organized the series of open-air events, aiming to bring more artistic insight to New Yorkers via displaying works of talented visual artists right at the city parks.

Alex AG also works closely with MORA museum, and currently his works are part of permanent collection at this establishment.
